Life Starts NOW...

- The Blog -

Today is the first day of

the rest of your life…

Let that sink in for a moment…

The rest of your life starts NOW. In this very moment. And you get to decide what you want that to look like. You don’t have to “just take whatever life throws at you”. It doesn’t matter what life has looked like for you up until this moment. You get to choose what you want your life to look like from this point forward.

The insights I share in these blog posts are intended to inspire you to take your life off of "auto-pilot" and begin to live your life in a deliberate and intentional way.

Whether you have been divorced for some time now, or you are smack dab in the middle of navigating the early stages of the end of your marriage, or somewhere in between,  my desire is to allow you to feel seen, heard and supported every step of the way.

Even when life seems hard, we can make choices that take us one step closer to a life we can get excited about.

Let’s do this together…xo

Are you feeling lost and overwhelmed?

Each of the categories below will take you to a different collection of blog posts with insight on how to navigate separation and divorce, and beyond, based on the stage you find yourself in at this moment of your journey.

Seizing the Day: A Reflection on Life and Loss

Death.

It's a thief in many ways.

And it's also a powerful reminder to us of how fragile life is.

Today, my sister Lourdis would have been celebrating her 65th birthday.  She passed away 2 days before her 61st birthday.

The message I shared on Facebook at the time of her passing, comes up in my...

Harnessing Hope: Your Essential Guide Through Divorce

Hope.

It's the light in the darkness.

The anchor in the storm.

It's the stirring in your soul that whispers: "You can do this".

When everything else seems uncertain, hope remains.

Navigating the complexities of divorce often feels like trying to find your way in the dark—disoriented and uncerta...

The Essential Self-Care Practice List

We’re all guilty of it.

Taking care of everyone else’s needs/wants long before we see to our own.

And we wonder why we start to feel exhausted and cranky?

Taking care of everyone around us before taking care of ourselves may seem noble, but it’s actually very irresponsible.  It leads to bur...

Happy Mother's Day!
Here’s what my mama has taught me about being a mother...

We don’t have to give birth to someone to be their mom.

We don’t have to be perfect. In fact, we can legit mess up on a fairly regular basis and still have our kids turn into lovely human beings.

We love the best way

Learning To Appreciate Things Exactly As They Are

Something came to me this morning as I was journaling.

It has to do with focusing on what is right in front of me rather than looking for what is missing.

I pictured this elaborate meal laid out in front of me on this beautifully decorated table, and me sitting there thinking about a dish or so...

Don't Love Your Circumstances? Change Them.

Today is my birthday. I turn 51 today.

I feel like the first half of my life was all about LEARNING and the second half will be all about LIVING.  All about IMPLEMENTING all the learning. And there is so much “implementing” I want to do! LOL

As I sit here on the front lawn of the Inn at Bay Fortu...

Recognizing The Beauty In Everyday

I am treating myself to a couple of nights away at the Inn at Bay Fortune on Prince Edward Island for my birthday and what a beautiful spot it is!

I was watching the sunset a short while ago and I was overwhelmed with emotion and how fortunate I am to be here. This feels like one of those places I...

A Lesson Only Death Can Teach...

"The ONLY way to cheat death is to LIVE THE SH*T OUT OF YOUR LIFE..."

It's taken me all week to find just the right words to write this post..

Last Saturday I was blessed to be present at the Celebration of Life of Brian Carty - an exceptional man who was taken from this world too soon.

I say "...

What If It Turns Out Better Than You Planned

What is it about new beginnings that feels so exciting?

For me, I think it’s the idea of a "clean slate”.  No mistakes.  You’re not “behind”.   It’s another chance to do things “right”.

But what does it really mean to “get things right”…?

What if there was no “wrong way” for things to turn ou...
